Tara Wildlife Recreation Center is located in the Eagle Lake community about 30 minutes northwest of historic Vicksburg, Mississippi and 72 miles west of Jackson. With 6 miles of Mississippi River frontage and 6,500 acres of oxbow lakes and bottomland hardwood forests, this is a beautiful venue for a scrapbooking retreat.

We will have the run of the entire property and will be the only group in attendance. The 5700-square-foot state-of-the-art conference center is the perfect location for our retreat. Tara Wildlife is promising us incredible meals, including brunch and dinner each day.  

You are responsible for your own lodging. The lodging is in the main building and is a hotel-style room with 2 queen beds. The cost is $110, per night, for one person, or $150 for double occupancy.  To make a reservation, please contact Mark Bowen at mark@tarawildlife.com or at (601) 279-6309.

The retreat cost is $200 and includes: creative space for 4 days and SIX meals including 3 Brunches and 3 Dinners plus daily snacks and drinks.

The February 2024 retreat will begin at 1 pm on Friday and end at 1 pm Monday.  The August 2024 retreat will begin at 1 pm on Thursday and end at 1 pm on Sunday.
